First-home buyers and young families, please pay attention because the following 400-odd words will interest you greatly.

Zhuri is a row of six free-standing, separately-titled terrace homes with no joining walls and, best of all, no body corporate – a home of your own with a price that is near unmatchable in the current market. These homes have been so well received that four have already been sold after about six weeks on the market.

The remaining two include a three-bedroom, two-bathroom single-garage abode with both a backyard and front courtyard for just $678,000. The other is a four-bedroom, two-bathroom double-garage home with an enclosed courtyard for $753,000.

“The interior is fully selectable by the buyer and is the same quality as what we would normally build, around the $900,000 mark,” says agent Daniel Aird of Aird Property Group.

“Reverse-cycle heating and cooling is ducted throughout the house; there are electricity-saving LED lights, stone benchtops in the kitchen and bathrooms, full-height tiling in the bathrooms, slimline power points and light switches, double-glazed windows, the list goes on.”

Other notable features include a COLORBOND roof, Bosch stainless steel kitchen appliances, a Samsung digital front door lock deadbolt with keyless entry, hybrid vinyl flooring in all main living areas and carpet to the bedrooms, as well as high internal ceilings to help provide a spacious feel.

But for Aird, one of the most appealing features is the home’s proximity to the surrounding amenity.

“These homes are literally a two-minute walk to the local shops and local facilities, and that’s being generous because I’d say I can get there in one minute,” he says.

These facilities include a community centre, a “learn to ride your bike” park, and even a splash water park. There’s also a nearby dog park where you can safely let your four-legged friend off the lead during morning or afternoon walks around the neighbourhood, and a high school is set to be built up the road.

“It’s perfect for families,” says Aird.

Plus, you have easy access to South Jerrabomberra’s array of cafe and restaurant offerings and a multimillion-dollar Regional Sports Complex, which will include a 3000-seat indoor stadium, about 23 hectares of playing fields, and an aquatic centre.

“The homes are only a 22-minute drive to the city, a 10-minute drive to Woden, a 10-minute drive to Tuggeranong … this is some powerful stuff,” says Aird.

“These homes are an ideal beginning for a young family wanting to get into the housing market and live without rent or body corporates. It’s also an excellent investment in a modern family home with high energy efficiency to save on winter bills and a very strong potential for capital growth, all for the right price.
