Former wealth boss Annabel Spring has packed up and moved to London to take up her recent senior executive appointment with global banker HSBC, so no guesses on what she plans to do with her Centennial Park trophy home.

The Agency’s Ben Collier is asking $12 million for the Federation mansion this time around, having seen first hand Centennial Park’s fortunes soar since he last sold the property for $9.8 million in 2015 on behalf of one of the state’s top judges Tony Meagher and his wife Fran.

The Meaghers had owned it since 1993, paying $1,684,000 and commissioning a redesign by Leigh Prentice 20 years ago with a  studio above the garage overlooking the pool.

At the time Spring and her Macquarie director husband Peter Stokes bought it they were upgrading to Centennial Park from their Gothic-style home in Woollahra, selling it that year for $6.15 million to Charlene Tynan, wife of VGI Partners’ Doug Tynan.

The Lang Road residence was built in 1909 for bootmaker Alfred E. Hickey, whose brother Phillip Hickey built the matching mansion next door that was sold by TV legend David Leckie and his wife Skye two years ago for $10.5 million to ragtrader Nick Kelly.

Centennial Park’s price records have long been dominated by the grand Federation mansions lining Lang Road. Down the road the residence Braelin on a  double block of more than 2000 square metres was bought for a then suburb high in 2015 by tech billionaire Mike Cannon-Brookes, who then reset the local record books last year when he sold it for $16.5 million to prominent art patrons Dr Gene and Brian Sherman.

More recently, Collier sold the home a few doors away of Wesfarmers’ senior executive Ed Bostock and his wife Emma sold in February for $13 million.
