A miniscule flat on the market in London’s Shepherds Bush is too small for a double bed, despite being marketed as perfect for couples.

A photo in the listing shows a small single bed crammed into the 2.84-metre-wide room.

There is only just enough room to squeeze between the bed and the kitchenette, which consists of a sink and toaster.

It would certainly be impossible to fit a double bed into the room.

Despite this, the listing states that the nine-square-metre studio flat is “an ideal choice for individuals or couples.”

Describing the flat as “compact”, the listing says the unit “presents a chance to own property in one of London’s dynamic areas”.

Along with the bed space and kitchenette, the flat also comes with a window, a Victorian fireplace, and a bathroom containing a microscopic sink.

The sink is so small that you might only be able to wash one hand at a time.

“This studio flat provides an excellent opportunity to invest in a London property without the usual high price tag,” the listing says.

The property is on the market for £100,000 ($AU194,000). Only cash buyers are being accepted.

Tyron Ash International Real Estate is the agency selling the property.
