Domain has scoured the country looking for this week’s hottest prestige homes for sale. Our four selections are from Surfers Paradise, Dee Why, Broadbeach and Double Bay.

Surfers Paradise

Drink in 360-degree views of the Pacific ocean, Surfers Paradise and the hinterland from 6601/8 The Esplanade, a sub-penthouse in the Soul tower.

Occupying the entire 66th floor and covering 457 square metres of luxury, the property comes with three en suite bedrooms, a media room and a stylish stone kitchen.

It’s opposite patrolled beaches and metres from Cavill Mall.

“You have the full floor to yourself with a lift to your private lobby,” says agent Rob Patis of Mantra Group Realty.

Facilities include indoor and outdoor pools, a gym, spa, sauna and steam rooms.

Patis is asking $5.98 million for the property.

Dee Why

Agent James Smyth of Smyth Estate Agents says buyer inquiries are coming from as far afield as the US, Britain, Singapore, Hong Kong and France for 1 Lookout Avenue, a six-year-old beach house which boasts spectacular north-easterly ocean views from nearly every room.

Designed by De Soyres Malone Architects, the home features travertine, blackbutt and Carrara marble finishes, a heated pool and a first-floor main bedroom making the most of the outlook.

“It has the most unbelievable views that go as far as Terrigal,” says Smyth. “And it’s only a quick walk to either Dee Why or North Curl Curl beaches.”

The property has a $5.2 million price guide.

Broadbeach

With arguably the best position and size in the neighbourhood, the Ultra Broadbeach penthouse at 14 George Avenue offers more than 930 square metres of indoor-outdoor living including a private pool, gym and steam room.

“The finish and detail that has gone into this property is like no other, it’s the most luxuriously appointed property I’ve ever marketed,” says agent Matt Gates of Ray White Sanctuary Cove. “The craftmanship and level of finish is unbelievable.”

Double Bay

One of 28 apartments in the boutique Cosmopolitan building, this sixth-floor apartment at 2-22 Knox Street comes with an 86-square-metre wrap-around terrace with electronic shades and awning.

The upmarket finishes include marble bathrooms, top-end appliances and bespoke joinery.

Agent Chantal Hooper of Di Jones Real Estate has sold eight apartments in the building and says most of these have been purchased by downsizers.

“The majority of buyers want to downsize into a smaller and more intimate space that provides a high level of sophistication,” she says. “And Double Bay offers a lifestyle and a range of facilities that appeals to this demographic.”

Hooper is selling the apartment for $5 million.
