Golf legend Greg Norman has listed his prized Florida home for sale, asking an eye-watering $A78.3 million.

The property, which consists of seven houses – yes, seven houses – as well as a US Open-sized tennis court, fitness centre, movie theatre, elevator and two main pools, is known as “Tranquility” and is in Florida’s famously-wealthy Jupiter Island.

The property was originally a lot smaller when the Shark bought it for $A6.53 million in 1991, the Daily Mail reports.

Not to do things by halves, the 65-year-old increased it by 632 square metres, transforming the property into a spectacular beachfront compound that now boasts seven houses, including the main house, a coach house, a pool house, a tennis house, a boat house, a carriage house and a beach house.

The main waterfront house has 10 bedrooms and 13 bathrooms and has access to the ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway.

Not surprisingly, Norman’s house features stunning interiors, thanks to his interior designer wife Kiki Norman, who told the Miami Herald: “We designed this estate to feel luxurious, but also warm and casual. It caters to our ‘barefoot elegance’ lifestyle.

“My vision was to create a sanctuary ― a place that felt like we are on a permanent holiday, and a gathering place for friends and family. The basis of my design was an open floor plan, maximising light and coastal views from every aspect.”

While Ms Norman’s vision was certainly realised, the property has not been the gathering place for friends and family over the past year that they had envisaged.

The couple told the Miami Herald that the pandemic had made them realise they wanted to be closer to their families, many of whom live overseas. They did not say where they would be moving to.
