After giving it a hefty price cut twice, actress Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay singer Chris Martin have finally found a buyer for their Tribeca penthouse.
The divorced couple, who famously announced in 2014 that they were “consciously uncoupling” from each other, have now “consciously un-coupled” from the house in New York and taken home $US10 million ($12.98 million).
The 370-square-metre apartment was first listed for $US14.25 million last March and later reduced to $US12.85 million, only for it to be withdrawn from the market in November and relisted for $US10 million in February, Mansion Global reports.
They first bought the property for $5.146 million in 2007, and have since had it renovated by designers Roman and Williams, who Paltrow says she contacted after she admired their work at her friend’s place.
The three-bedroom apartment is in the upmarket River Lofts complex, which has a pool, gym, roof deck, garage and a concierge.
Last year Paltrow, who is also an entrepreneur, posted a “home tour” of the house on her lifestyle website Goop describing it as a home that “floats above the cobblestone streets like a pale, dreamy cloud”.
The kitchen has an “intense and strong” marble counter, which she describes as a “sensual piece”, custom white cabinetry, two ovens and an enormous floating marble rangehood.
There’s a swing for the children made from an antique Indian door painted white and adorned with silk pillows, and hand embroidered wallpapers.
The colour scheme throughout the penthouse could accurately be described as tranquil, with whites, lavenders and grey dominating.
It also has a large entryway, complete with walls of built-in storage, a fireplace, skylight and powder room, before moving through to the throw-rugged living room.
In the master bedroom the bed is so big it has to have sheets custom made, according to Goop.
Paltrow has reportedly moved with her children Apple and Moses to Los Angeles.
