Hamptons mansion featuring a $1.3m TV hits the market for $46.7 million

The ultimate Hamptons Netflix and chill home, with a huge outdoor TV worth $1.3 million, has hit the market.

The home itself, with nine bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, an indoor spa and an outdoor swimming pool, has been listed for $46.7 million ($US35 million) through Nest Seekers International’s Shawn Elliott and Peggy Zabakolas, an agent who stars in the Netflix series Million Dollar Beach House. 

The unique new home at 63 Duck Pond Lane, Southampton – on Long Island, near New York City – is owned by developer and Hamptons Luxury Estates president Yale Fishman.

“The home features a pool house with a kitchen, laundry and bathroom,” the advertisement states. “In addition to the outdoor barbecue and wood-burning fireplace, the unique swimming pool features a glass wall which looks out to a fire pit and cushioned sunken seating area lounge.

“Behind the sunken area is the spectacular outdoor cinema which rises out of its underground vault in a breathtaking fashion featuring a huge LED screen like in Times Square for viewing night or day.”

Mr Eillott told the New York Post that the TV, which is 5.4 metres wide and 2.4 metres tall, would automatically return to its “vault” if it started to rain. 

As well as the usual mod cons, the luxury home, which is two blocks from the beach, also features a sunken tennis court with “an option for winter ice skating”.

It has an indoor basketball court which can also be used for indoor virtual golf or virtual NASCAR racing, while the gym features the latest Peloton exercise bikes. 

All of this is topped off by an indoor cinema room, with seating for 12, and a wine cellar with a capacity for 1100 bottles.
