An eight-storey party palace in the Hollywood Hills dubbed the “house of sin” is for sale with a $A14.2 million price tag.

Renowned as a unique and eclectic homes in the area, it has appeared in reality TV shows and featured in many photoshoots with models, including Kim Kardashian.

What makes the home unique is its themed rooms which include gold, stylised caves, a games room with casino tables and a two-storey nightclub with enough space for 150 people.

The home has a gym and sauna and also features a Moroccan-inspired tented pool, perfect for those LA summers on the rooftop.

For those wanting to relax in a spa, the home also features a grotto with a jacuzzi and waterfall that Playboy founder Hugh Hefner would have been proud of.

And, like any good Hollywood spread it also includes a cinema room with a floor-to-ceiling screen.

While it has wild and eclectic interiors, not all the areas of the home are over the top party themed, with a penthouse living space with hardwood floors offering a more relaxed place to live.

The five-bedroom home is owned by a glamour photographer Richard Franklin, who refurbished it for his photoshoots, and for him to use as a bachelor pad.

Franklin, who has reportedly worked with celebrities including Kardashian, bought the home in the 1990s for just $900,000 before doubling its size and adding its one-of-a-kind interiors.

He had used the home for photos and also for parties with the likes of P Diddy, Hugh Grant and Val Kilmer attending, CNN reported back in 2012.  It also featured in reality TV shows in the early 2000s including Denise Richards It’s Complicated.

Though the home at 2189 Sunset Plaza Drive, Los Angeles, is unique, it’s not the first time it has been listed for sale. Most recently, it was listed in 2018 and again early last year before being withdrawn from sale, Zillow.com records show.

It was also listed for lease, asking $40,000 a month in rent.

The marketing campaign notes the mansion is “one of LA’s boldest and most exciting homes for the life of the party”. The home is listed via JP Investment Real Estate Group realtor Cristina Guzman and chief executive John C Pak.
