Home and Away star Penny McNamee has quietly upgraded in Rozelle after buying a cottage only streets away from her former home.

Records suggest the actress – who plays Tori Morgan in the Australian soap – bought the brick lowset house with her high school sweetheart husband Matt Tooker for $2.5 million.

The purchase comes after the couple recently sold their previous house in the same neighbourhood for a reported sum of about $2 million.

They have swapped the smaller 170-square-metre block for another almost three times the size – their new property sits on a sprawling 479 square metres of land.

They have called Rozelle home for the past decade after buying their first house in the suburb in 2010 for $779,000, records show.

They started their family of two children while living in the property, which they later renovated.

The actress joined the cast of Home and Away in 2015 and was nominated for the Best New Talent Logie Award for her role as Tori Morgan.

McNamee also played the role of Hope in Tom Hanks’ and Steven Spielberg’s HBO miniseries The Pacific.
