Every week there are loads of interesting and beautiful properties that hit the market. But what are the listings that really stand out from the fray? Using data from Domain, we’ve discovered the homes Aussies have been loving the most this week.
Here are the most popular homes across Australia, including two celebrity-linked digs and one perfect country escape.
NRL legend and former North Queensland Cowboys captain, Johnathan Thurston, has listed his former Townsville home in Rowes Bay after making a nearby purchase and the listing has since become Australia’s most-clicked on Domain.
The contemporary waterfront villa on 805sqm is tipped to exceed the $2 million mark.
The two-level home has five bedrooms, two living areas, 2.5 bathrooms and a large study or sixth bedroom, all in a clean and light palette.
Outside there is a self-contained guest retreat with kitchenette, ensuite and walk-in wardrobe, plus a “child’s wonderland,” complete with a playground, astro turfed areas, shade cloth and an established garden.

Australian star Rebel Wilson has moved to London, making her departure official with the listing of her beautifully-renovated waterfront Sydney pad.
Asking in the $9 million range through CobdenHayson, the free-standing Victorian home in inner west Birchgrove has undergone what Wilson describes as a “meticulous renovation“.
Wilson bought the spread for $3.76 million in early 2015, a few years after her breakout role in the first of the Pitch Perfect movies. Throughout her long stints living in the United States as her career skyrocketed, she retained the pad as her Sydney bolthole.
Titled “a bespoke waterfront beauty with deepwater mooring,” by the listing, the three-bed, three-bath residence was redesigned four years ago by award-winning architect Paul O’Connor.
The sale comes just two years after Wilson completed the major rebuild. Set over three levels, it features a north-facing living area overlooking the Parramatta River as well as dual harbour perspectives.
There are 180-degree harbour views from every level plus a heated, mosaic-tiled infinity edge ozone pool, waterfront entertainer’s haven, and a new jetty, pontoon and mooring.
There is the added lift Wilson mentions in an Instagram post is her “favourite”, plus a slew of other prestige features.

This week, Aussies have been loving this picture-perfect Victorian country escape under an hour from Melbourne CBD.
Located in Gisborne in the Macedon Ranges, the 8.7-acre estate affords sweeping views of Mount Macedon, along with unsurpassed privacy and beautifully manicured grounds.
The exceptionally well-maintained timber provincial-style homestead with wraparound verandah and 10-foot ceilings includes four bedrooms, three bathrooms and parking for 16 cars.
But you also get a separate self-contained Bluestone home studio and expansive, wow-factor barn which has been stylishly renovated – think exposed brick, log fireplace, bar and adaptable upstairs retreat.
There are four paddocks divided by secure fencing and offering water supply, chicken pen, an open shed, wood and hay shed.
