Resort-style living doesn’t always require a seven-figure sum.

Four Aussie properties sold in May for well under Australia’s median house price of $1,112,575 and come with a pool as a luxury bonus.

The three-bedroom, one-bathroom home at 194 Little West Street in Mount Isa, Queensland, sold on May 16 for $230,000, as stated on the listing.

Rachael Wilson of City and Country Realty, describes the property on the listing as an entertainer’s pad with a newly-painted, in-ground pool and barbecue area.

Although there aren’t enough sales over the past 12 months for Domain to obtain a median house price for the suburb in outback Queensland, the $230,000 figure is a speck of the nation’s median house price. Medians are obtained from Domain’s House Price Report for the March 2024 quarter.

Also in Mount Isa, the three-bedroom, two-bathroom property at 5 Short Street sold on May 27 for $320,000, as stated on the listing.
