A buyer has the chance to score a property in one of the most unusual towns on the planet.

Every property in the village, at Eaglehawk Neck, has Doo in its title. And one of them is on the market.

At 21 Tasmans Arch Road, the house could suit a Hobart local looking for a weekender (the capital city is about an hour’s drive away, southeast).

The address has been listed by Kate Storey Realty, seeking offers more than $698,000.

The house is named Didgeri-Doo, on a timber plaque, but others in the town are called Da Doo Ron Ron, Doo Come In, Doo Not Disturb, Doo Nothing, Humpty Doo, Just Doo It, Love Me Doo, Make Doo, Sheil Doo, This Will Doo, Humpty Door and more.

According to Wikipedia, one residence has broken with custom and is named Medhurst.

The listed house is close to the sweeping crescent of Pirates Bay, with a deck for enjoying the tickle of the breeze off the water – with glimpses of the bay – and the surrounding hills.

A neat and sweet retro kitchen and bathroom speak to a different age, and the charm is carried through with open fireplaces.

A floorplan bonus is two living areas. A sleepout with storage is on the block, in addition to the three-bedroom house.

Eaglehawk Neck is a stunning part of the island, and tourists flock to the area to experience Devil’s Kitchen, a trench hollowed out by the Tasman Sea, the Blowhole and Tasman Arch.

Due to a small volume of sales, Domain does not have median price data for Eaglehawk Neck.

The official Tassie tourism website explains Doo Town started as a timber station in the 1830s and about hundred years on from its formation, the townsfolk started to have fun with the name. The first home to be named was anointed Doo I 99 and the legend rolled on from there.

It is a popular pit stop for road adventurers.
