A slice of movie magic could now be yours, with the property from ’90s classic 10 Things I Hate About You hitting the market.

The five-bedroom Victorian house, was home to Kat (Julia Stiles) and Bianca (Larisa Oleynik) Stratford in the hit high-school rom-com.

Both the interiors and exteriors of the home featured in the film, which catapulted the late actor Heath Ledger to fame in 1999.

You may recognise the wrap-around balcony, where Kat sat pensively – and wrapped up her dates with Ledger’s character Patrick.

Then there’s the foyer where Bianca was forced to wear the dreaded “belly” by her father who was paranoid about his daughters dating, going to parties, or really having any fun.

And the staircase where the sisters fought, the living room where they fought, and their rooms… where they fought.

While it’s hard to pick which room was Kat’s thanks to the lack of ’90s grunge posters, it clear from the listings photos that Bianca got the master bedroom.

The 535-square-metre property in the city of Tacoma, about a 40-minute drive south of the Seattle central business district, will set you back  $US1.6 million ($2 million).

Built  in 1907, the home on the Old Tacoma waterfront has been owned by one family for more than 30 years.

It has five bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, a formal living area and hot tub. There is original woodwork throughout, including solid oak doors and custom inlay hardwood floors, and two fireplaces.

While it was far from a party house in the movie, thanks to the girls’ strict father, in real life the basement has been decked out with a bar and cellar perfect for entertaining.

The property also has an unfinished attic, and a matching garage and car port that could be transformed into a workshop space or retreat.

Although Kat condemns the “pathetic emptiness of meaningless consumer-driven lives”, this house is sure to leave its buyer feeling just the perfect amount of “whelmed”.
