Do you have a child who’ll hit anything, kick everything and bounce whatever’s at hand?

Pull the car over. This fabulous Camberwell spread might just be the one for you.

It’s not going too far off the charts to call this place resort-like. It’s all here in the splendid configuration ranging from the private space at the front of the house to the brilliant fun out back.

The oversize door pivots open to reveal a most amazing sandstone floor that tracks its way from the entry to the rear. Before that, though, there are plenty of excellent places to explore.

First to the left is a large billiard/rumpus room – an excellent space to do some teenage lounging.

Across the way the lovely main bedroom has a crisp stone en suite, large walk-in robe and offers a fine view of the pretty central courtyard.

Bedroom two, just beyond, includes good storage and proximity to the family bathroom – a roomy, smooth affair. The generous laundry has outside access.

Past the stair to level one and over to the right is a handsome sitting room with low stone hearth and more views from this side of that courtyard and its soothing water feature.

Continuing on through another set of cool, opaque sliding doors you come to the TV/family room on the northern side. Here you get plenty of informal space and excellent views over the rear deck to the pool and tennis court.

Set to the southern side of the rear section is the very fine kitchen. Stainless steel preparation areas combined with Corian stone floating bench and a smashing green glass splashback bring both terrific utility as well as plenty of style.

A long dining area sits beyond here and rolls on into the vaulted ceiling of the conservatory with more fabulous tennis court and pool views.

Out on the expansive deck there’s a spa up on one side and a built-in barbecue and entertaining area on the other.

The two-lane infinity edge lap pool is so beautiful you could spend all your time just gazing into the blue. Hang on the edge here and watch the match over on the full-sized north-south tennis court, or jump out and play a pick-up game of basketball.

Still why get out of the pool when you can swim up to the pool house that hangs over the water and provides a bar and bathroom downstairs and a chill-out room up top. Where are the kids? Where do you think?

Go back inside and upstairs and you’ll find two more good-sized bedrooms to complete this deeply impressive Camberwell retreat.

Room for improvement: An upstairs bathroom would top things off.
