Australian actor Hugh Jackman has listed his palatial New York City condo on the market with a $US38.9 million ($55 million) asking price.
Located in the affluent Manhattan neighbourhood of the West Village, the three-level mansion in the sky is set within a stately building designed by doyen of architecture Richard Meier.
Spanning the eighth, ninth and tenth floors and boasting five bedrooms, seven bathrooms and a total internal living space north of 1020 square metres, the opulent digs more than lives up to the star power of its A-lister owner.
There are myriad luxuries with an abode such as this, but some notable standouts include a vast professional kitchen with pantry, guest suite, floor-to-ceiling windows and a grand spiral staircase that connects all three floors.
The 10th floor is also occupied exclusively by the home’s master suite, which benefits from a raft of features such as two dressing rooms, a spa, sauna and even a dedicated workout space.
But by far the best of the apartment’s many, many talking points are the sweeping, unrelenting views of the Hudson River, which can be enjoyed from all levels.
According to reports, the Wolverine actor picked up the highly desirable pad back in 2008, paying $US21 million ($29.6 million) at the time.
So if the 53-year-old can achieve his lofty asking price, he will have made a sweet $US18.9 million ($25.4 million) profit in 14 years, which he can add to his already sizeable fortune, thought to be around $253 million.
