Many high-profile vendors, from stage, screen and sport, played the property game in Melbourne this year.
Some of the transactions, including comedian Hamish Blake and wife Zoe Foster’s record-breaking Richmond purchase, and Hugh Jackman’s humble city apartment sale, were shrouded in secrecy.
But others, including a mortgage fire sale of two of controversial medico Geoffrey Edelsten’s apartments, were unable to escape pre-auction hype.
