Rapper, actor and writer Ice Cube has kicked off some nineties nostalgia, with news that he’s bought Jean-Claude Van Damme’s California home.

The property has been on the market since July 2015 when it was listed for just shy of US$10 million ($13.6 million).

Fittingly for a former action star, it comes with a gym; a pool with a deck and 360 degree views; and a state of the art home theatre.

It’s also got three bedrooms, 10 bathrooms – no chance of having to run into your double from the future – a chef’s kitchen, elevator service and a wine cellar.

Van Damme bought the 703-square-metre home in 2012 for $6 million, a year or so after it was built, and while he didn’t get his original asking price he still came out ahead with a US$7.25 million sale.

NWA and 21 Jump Street‘s Ice Cube has been living in Encino, California, since the mid-nineties. He may want to decorate the place differently as he’s apparently a fan of classic furniture.

He participated in the “Ice Cube Celebrates Ray & Charles Eames” campaign in 2011, a “Pacific Standard Time” project that teamed up famous art figures with pop culture personalities.

Van Damme was most recently in the news for an upcoming Amazon series, in which he plays himself, as well as his secret agent alter-ego.
