Comedian, actor and all-around hilarious A-lister Kristen Wiig has just spent USD $4.9 million ($7 million) on a stunning mansion in Pasadena, California.
Spread over a 1214-square-metres of blue-chip land set in one of the locale’s most desirable streets, the Georgian-style abode was originally constructed in the 1930s.
Despite its near century-old pedigree, the three-bedroom, four-bathroom home has been overhauled in recent years and now features a suite of luxuries commensurate with its sale price.
The home includes 334-square-metres of internal living space, a professional kitchen with opulent appliances, a breakfast nook and marble island and a grand living room with a tiled fireplace.
The house will also spoil the Bridesmaids actor with a palatial master suite that boasts a fireplace, private balcony, walk-in and a lavish ensuite replete with a soaking tub and separate shower.
Outside, the backyard gives way to a quaint alfresco area and lounge, a large swimming pool, and lovely manicured grounds with established flora.
While the home is no doubt desirable, Wiig’s purchase is slightly strange, considering she only sold her old Pasadena home a few weeks ago, which was located just a few streets away from her new home.
As Nine reported, the 48-year-old off-loaded her former pad for USD $3.9 million ($5.413 million), selling the mansion to fellow actor Lily Collins, star of Netflix’s hit dramedy Emily in Paris.
