Oscar-winning actor Jennifer Lawrence has found a buyer for her $US12 million ($18.42 million) Manhattan penthouse but looks set to lose millions on the deal, according to reports.
The star of The Hunger Games bought the Upper East Side pad for $US15.6 million in 2016.
She listed the home with price hopes of a more modest $US15.45 million last year.
After a price cut to $US14.25 million, then to $US12 million, a buyer has entered contract on the residence, Mansion Global reports.
The final price and new owner will not be public until the deal closes.
Lawrence was named the world’s highest-paid actress by in 2015 and 2016 by Forbes and is known for her roles in The Hunger Games, the X-Men series, and Silver Linings Playbook.
She previously worked in New York but now spends most of her time in Los Angeles, prompting the sale.
At the top of 30-storey building The Laurel, the three-bedroom pad offers views across the New York City skyline.
It offers 378 square metres of living space and a 278-square-metre outdoor area across two terraces including one on the rooftop.
And features include an outdoor kitchen, fireplace, built-in pingpong table, floor-to-ceiling windows and a Poggenpohl kitchen with Carrara marble benchtops.
The building also offers top amenities such as a full-time doorman and concierge, fitness centre, lap pool, sauna, steam room, garage, live-in manager, private storage and bike room.
