It looks like Bennifer 2.0 is really heating up, with the two megastars reportedly about to spend $US55 million-plus ($74.3 million) on a new home in Los Angeles.
That may sound like the duo are rushing into things but, hard as it is to believe, they’ve been seeing each other (again) for almost a year already, with whispers of the former couple rekindling their relationship first making news in March 2021.
So, what are Affleck, 49, and Lopez, 52, getting for all that moolah? Well, the mansion, which features 10 bedrooms and 17 bathrooms, is spread over 4856 square metres of prime real estate in Bel Air.
And it isn’t in just any old part of the affluent area – it’s directly across the road from the elite Bel Air Country Club.
The home more than matches the star power of the famous couple. Aside from its sheer scale, the opulent mansion boasts a plethora of luxuries, including an expansive pool, expertly designed and manicured grounds, a wine cellar and a large home theatre.
Grammy-nominated JLo is more than fond of cooking, and this home will ensure she’s got all the space for her hobby to flourish, with the home featuring four separate kitchens.
Built in the 1930s and designed by renowned architect Paul R. Williams, the beautiful house is currently owned by hedge funder Todd Lemkin.
Lemkin, who purchased the property in 2016 for $US37.3 million, has been looking to offload the estate since early February and was asking about $US88 million.
So, if reports from TMZ are true, it looks as though Affleck and Lopez have picked up the mansion for a sizeable celebrity discount.
What will happen to the pair’s other LA properties is not known. JLo already owns a mansion in Bel Air and Affleck previously called a stunning property in the Pacific Palisades’ Riviera home.
Regardless of property portfolios, Bennifer are proving that love may not cost a thing … but primo Bel Air real estate certainly does.
