Cirrus has been designed to offer a premium product to live-in buyers.

“This project has a very clear understanding and design imperative that this is a live-in development project,” Colliers International director of project marketing Derek Whitcombe says.

The development has a few very obvious drawcards: it faces north directly on to the water, providing stunning views over Lake Ginninderra. On top of this, the design has been meticulous.

The needs of live-in buyers have been considered in detail throughout, from the large interiors and high quality inclusions, to the very building blocks of the building.

“The separation between the apartments is actually masonry concrete,” Whitcombe says.

“It gives you a much higher control of sound management and temperature.”

Inside, the floorplans are large, designed with comfort in mind. “[The developers] have added fairly sophisticated design through Redgen Mathieson Architects, and created bigger apartments and targeted more the live-in buyer,” Whitcombe says. “So that people who have reached a certain stage in their life where they want to downsize have a quality option for apartment living.”

The open-plan living areas open on to generous balconies. Floor-to-ceiling windows take advantage of the views offered by this 24-storey building. Kitchens are large and integrate smoothly with the interiors.

“Designed as a piece of furniture, rather than a bolt on kitchen,” managing director of Per Se Developments Anthony Tokich says.

“It’s fully integrated and seamless design.”

Restaurants and commercial space sit on the ground floor at Cirrus, offering easy access to the amenity of Belconnen.

“You just reach out and you’ve got everything you want in that precinct,” Whitcombe says.

“You can go for a ride on your bike, or go for a jog or a walk, you’ve got all the casual restaurants around the lake.”

On top of this, the Westfield right next door means a realm of amenity.

One, two and three-bedroom apartments and penthouses are still available for sale at Cirrus. Construction is expected to begin in August, and last for two years.

Feature we love: It’s hard to move beyond the huge windows opening north onto expansive lake views at Cirrus.

Who lives here: Belconnen is a family hub, close to shops schools and amenity, all flowing out from Lake Ginninderra.
