One Hyde Park, in the exclusive London surburb of Knightsbridge, cost a reported one billion pounds to construct and has attracted a list of high-profile, wealthy buyers.

But apart from Kylie’s recent purchase, that list of residents remains a closely guarded secret, with almost no information about who else has bought into the development. Some reports said the list of buyers would remain confidential.

While details remain sketchy on exactly who Ms Minogue will bump into in the lift on her way to the 21 metre swimming pool, wine cellar and cinema, reports said Qatar’s prime minister was one of the new residents.

The Australian reported that Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem al-Thani had bought a penthouse apartment, but said buyers from Canada, the US, the Middle East, Europe and China had also bought into the project.

The report, dated January 20, said ”plutocrats, potentates, and some technology billionaires head the confidential list of purchasers at One Hyde Park”.

A report in the UK’s Daily Star said Minogue purchased a three bedroom apartment in the complex, which she will live in with Spanish boyfriend Andres Velencoso. The pair have been together since 2008.

Some reports have linked the purchase to Minogue’s professed desire to start a family.
