Aussie model Lara Worthington and her actor husband Sam Worthington are selling their Los Angeles home ahead of the birth of their third child.

The celeb couple bought the five-bedroom mansion on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood less than two years ago, according to the The Dirt, and look set to make a decent profit.

Model Lara, 32, and actor Sam, 43, bought the home from X-Men producer Simon Kinberg in late 2018 for $US7.9 million ($11.77 million).

It was a bargain at the time – the property had originally been listed at $US14 million ($20.86 million), but the pair snapped it up at almost half the asking price.

They’re now asking $US9.25 million ($13.78 million).

While a third son is on the way, the Worthingtons don’t need to move for more space. The house spans 584 square metres and features five bedrooms and eight bathrooms.

Spread over two levels, it’s extremely private and features state-of-the-art home automation, a guest house, wine cellar, home cinema, spa, sauna and firepit.

In a possible nod to their Australian heritage, the interiors are light-filled and breezy, mixing traditional East Coast US features with Scandi design – from the marble fireplace to the skylights and the fresh white interiors, the house is geared to make the most of the outdoors, the views and the weather.

The couple, who married in 2014, already have two sons: four-year-old Rocket Zot and three-year-old Racer.

Lara moved to the US with Sam five years ago and has increasingly shielded her life from the public eye.
