Gwyneth Paltrow’s early years growing up in California were certainly lavish.
And now actress and Goop founder’s childhood home in Santa Monica, Los Angeles, is available for buyers with a spare $US17.5 million ($27.3 million).
Listed through Robert Lawrence Edie of Compass, it’s understood Gwyneth lived in the home with her parents, actor Blythe Danner and the late director and producer Bruce Paltrow, and her brother Jake Paltrow, from the age of four. When she turned 12, the family moved to New York City.
Located in the affluent neighbourhood of Gillette Regent Square, the property was built in 1913.
The six-bedroom, six-bathroom abode was purchased by a jeans brand founder in 2008 and is luxurious in its design.
The future buyer will be greeted by the home’s formal glass-encased entry, before making their way through the space which features high ceilings and whitewashed walls.
Splashes of colour are in the form of pale blue walls in the bedrooms, Miami-themed wallpaper and statement art on the walls.
A chef’s kitchen features a generously sized marble island bench and top-tier Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances.
There is also a two-story guesthouse with a gym, sauna, bedroom and office, as well as a glass-encased car showroom.
However, the property’s standout feature is no doubt the Balinese-inspired pool and spa.
The outdoor area also features a landscaped garden with two fire pits, all nestled amongst lush greenery.
Paltrow now lives in Montecito in Santa Barbara, California, with her husband Brad Falchuk and her children, daughter Apple, 18, and son Moses, 16, shared with ex-husband Chris Martin of the band Coldplay.
The actress reportedly purchased the home for $US5 million ($7.7 million) in 2016.
