Imagine waking up to bird song, cool breezes and the sounds of waves crashing on the white sands of Jervis Bay.
This is the life promised by Kai, Huskisson’s latest development of luxury one, two and three-bedroom resort-style apartments.
The luxurious Kai by Syzygy Development is influenced by the beauty of the Australian landscape, taking cues from the surrounding flora and fauna.
“The whole area is so special to me,” says director Nik Bulum. “It’s not just about the development. I really want people to fall in love with the area like I have, which is what inspired me to create something beautiful that reflected this environment.”
Bulum says Kai’s residents will find themselves immersed in nature, from beautiful forests to the white sands of world-class beaches “filled with the most amazing wildlife and sealife”.
“Kai utilises natural materials to blend into the surrounding national park and offers a resort-style escape from Canberra, or wherever you may reside.”
Step inside the homes, and you’ll find sophisticated interiors harmoniously complemented by beautifully crafted outdoor spaces. There are two colourways to choose from, both of which have been inspired by the surrounding earth.
All inclusions are high-end, with materials such as marble, engineered timbers throughout and terrazzo in the bathrooms.
“Space ranges from 88 square metres in the one-bedrooms, up to 260 square metres, so they’re very roomy,” says Bulum.
“Every apartment is unique and allows people to choose a floor plan that suits their lifestyle … there’s also an opportunity for purchasers to spec up their own apartments if desired.”
Bulum also believes that given the size, potential purchasers may share the opportunity with friends and family.
“A lot of people are buying with others. Two families can go halves in a two or three-bedroom apartment and be able to visit at the same time,” he says.
“The AirBnb market is insane in this area so it’s also great for investors and investor stock.”
“It’s still a limited market because there’s not much land – it’s mostly national park – and it’s only going up in value,” Bulum adds.
While Canberrans are usually drawn to seaside towns around Batemans Bay, the likes of Jervis Bay and Huskisson are only becoming more popular, especially given their picturesque natural environment.
“These beaches are world-class and it’s still a relatively unknown area,” says Bulum.
“Huskisson has that small village seaside charm, and it’s only getting quicker to get there with highway upgrades. The national parks are amazing to explore – you’ll constantly find secluded beaches and coves. Murrays Beach is one of my favourites.”
Huskisson is also close to picturesque towns such as Berry, Kiama and Milton.
“The region is rich with things to see and do, it’s the ideal holiday location,” Bulum says.
Completion of the project is expected at the end of 2025.
