This three-bedroom home in Lyneham has been owned by the same family for 56 years and it carries the style of the swinging ’60s into the 21st century – from the original porch at the front of the home to the fabulous retro kitchen in a blue and white colour scheme.

Frank and Barbara Nicholson bought the block in 1961 and raised their two children, Jenny and Chris, in the home.

“Our home is a much-loved part of our extended family’s history, and family and friends were always welcome,” Jenny Jankowski says.

Barbara is moving to a retirement home and the house is now awaiting its new owners.

“It is time for us to share our home of 56-plus years and for a new family to start their own stories in this much-loved home,” Jenny says.

“In bringing the house to market, we made a deliberate decision not to replace the original features, but to restore the home to some of its former glory and give new homeowners more options for what they might want to do.”
