Mark Wahlberg is making headlines outside of showbiz.
The Hollywood actor has splashed $US14.5 million ($21.2 million) on a luxurious Las Vegas villa, according to records obtained by Dirt.
Located in the resort community “The Summit Club” in Sin City’s Summerlin, the two-storey home contains four spacious bedrooms, four bathrooms and two half baths.
It’s not the first Las Vegas purchase for Wahlberg, with the star having reportedly paid $US16.5 million ($24.2 million) to build his own sprawling mansion in The Summit Club.
The resort community is perfect for an A-list star with security including body heat tracking to ensure there are no intruders on-site.
Homes in the guard-gated area offer spectacular views of the desert and the private golf course, and are certainly luxurious.
They merge the indoors and outdoors with an open-plan layout, and feature spacious patios and pools for residents to relax and unwind.
Interiors take on a modern aesthetic with floor-to-ceiling windows, slate-finished showers and a neutral colour palette that mimics the natural landscape.
