Oscar-winning actor Matt Damon and his wife Luciana Bozan Barroso, have listed their luxury, Zen-inspired, home in Los Angeles’ Pacific Palisades for $US21 million ($A27 million), according to media reports.
There are no apparent plans to move to Australia where he is set to film the latest Marvel movie, with the family buying a property in New York.
The seven-bedroom, 10-bathroom home, close to the exclusive Riviera Country Club in California, has been updated by the couple after they moved in eight years ago.
Damon and his wife reportedly paid $A19 million for the home in 2012. It was originally built in 2004, designed by architect Grant Kirkpatrick of KAA Design, Forbes reports.
The home features natural materials such as warm woods and natural stone to give it a laid-back and tropical feel.
With staff quarters and a massage room, the stunning home would suit any stressed out but wealthy buyers.
The home also features a gym, pool, bar and space for movie-related memorabilia.
Marketing photos of the home include a space suit similar to the one Damon wore in the movie he played an astronaut stranded on Mars, The Martian.
The luxury mansion has a large kitchen and dining areas, including outdoor dining, plus a movie screening room, of course.
Damon and Barroso, who have three daughters together, reportedly listed the home after making the decision to move to a New York penthouse, according to Forbes.
There may be some time before the family makes the move to New York, as Damon and family flew into Australia earlier this week.
He is set to film a role in the upcoming Marvel Comic movie Thor: Love and Thunder alongside good friend Chris Hemsworth.
Damon and his family are quarantining in Sydney for 14 days before filming begins and are reportedly paying for hospital grade cleaning of the rental property they are staying in.
A household name, Damon first rose to prominence in Hollywood after co-writing the screenplay and starring in the Academy Award winning movie Good Will Hunting with friend and fellow actor Ben Affleck.
He also starred in the action film franchise based on the novels of Robert Ludlum including The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Supremacy where he played the lead role of Jason Bourne.
His house has been listed through The Agency California’s Eric Haskell.
