A property belonging to late Friends star Matthew Perry is on the market for a seven-figure sum.
Perry’s Hollywood Hills abode which he purchased just months before his sudden death and never got the chance to live in, is listed for $US195,000 ($AU7,897,537) by agents Greg Holcomb and Tim Durkovic of Douglas Elliman.
The three-bedroom, four-bathroom home at 1479 Rising Glen Road was purchased by the actor in May last year in an off-market deal for $US4.9 million ($AU7.4 million), multiple outlets reported at the time.
Perry died on October 28, 2023, aged 54. He was found unresponsive in a hot tub at his other Los Angeles mansion in the Pacific Palisades neighbourhood. Autopsy results reveal he died from the effects of anesthetic ketamine, with drowning as a second factor.
As stated on the listing, the Hollywood Hills property was built in 1957 and has since undergone a modern renovation.
The all-white home has a mid-century modern aesthetic with a flat roof and angular details. There is a focus on functionality, clean lines and integration of the indoors and outdoors.
A sun-filled central patio is a property standout, and the master bedroom opens directly to the pool area.
Agents describe the home on the listing as “boasting sex appeal” and offering a level of sophistication with its walls of glass and details such as stone and hardwood floors.
The property would suit buyers who want to be not far from the action, in an area just above the Sunset Strip.
