Gray Place began its life as a Pettit and Sevitt display village in the 1970s.

With a light and airy open-plan design, the homes feel modern while exuding their original charm.

Kate Manning, Will Sharpe and their children Angus, 18, Maggie, 16, and Felix, 11, have lived in a five-bedroom home on the cul-de-sac for six years.

It has been sympathetically renovated and extended over the years and features segregated living spaces, ideal for family living.

“The separate kids’ area has just been a godsend for us,” Kate says.

“Their rooms spill out onto their own designated living space. It means Will and I have our space without it being too much of an enormous house.”

The living room overlooks a courtyard and in-ground swimming pool – the perfect arrangement for entertaining or keeping an eye on the kids.

Close to the Woden Town Centre, Weston has also been a wonderful suburb for the family.

“It’s a nice quiet street,” Kate says.

“The kids could ride their bikes without crossing too many roads.”

The family won’t be moving far. They’ve bought a block in the area and are building a new home.
