Michael 'Wippa' Wipfli lists Queens Park house for $2.5m

Radio star Michael “Wippa” Wipfli is a name well known to many eastern suburbs selling agents, not only as the Nova funny man but as a keen real estate watcher.

But those fielding any inquiries from Wippa should expect a little more conviction behind any upcoming property inquiries given he has listed his Queens Park home for sale amid plans to upgrade the family home.

Wipfli’s 1920s semi was a recently renovated first Sydney purchase in 2014 for $1.87 million a year after he married his wife Lisa, co-owner of the baby health food company Nourishing Bubs.

Sydney’s shortfall of listings and softer market conditions make now an ideal time for upgraders given the discounted purchase price on family homes, and agents say Wippa has been making inquiries on homes across the Paddington to Bellevue Hill and Vaucluse belt.

But first there’s the sale of his family home, which hit the market on Wednesday with Nick Quilkey, of Phillips Pantzer Donnelley.

Buyers are being given a $2.5 million guide ahead of an early June auction.

It isn’t the only celebrity digs in Queens Park to hit the market of late. As Title Deeds revealed last week the Californian bungalow that was until recently co-owned by Brooke Satchwell is also up for grabs.

Satchwell and her former partner, film editor Dave Gross, bought it in 2010 for $1.65 million but, following their split early this year, Gross has listed it for $2.25 million with Belle Property’s Edward Brown.
