Former NBA star Andrew Bogut has made the most of his time in lockdown in Melbourne, selling his Concord house on the quiet for $4.1 million.
This is the renovated Californian bungalow Bogut and his wife Jessica listed in June last year after he quit the Sydney Kings having moved to Melbourne.
When it didn’t sell, records show the couple instead leased it out for $2350 a week, but it sold this week when an off-market offer was secured at more than the $4 million guide by Dib Chidiac, of his eponymous agency.
Mr Chidiac declined to comment on the buyer.
The Boguts purchased the house opposite Henley Park in almost new condition in 2018 for $3.5 million – no finance required – after they returned to live in Australia after almost 20 years playing in the United States.
Set on 610 square metres, the 1930s-era house includes luxury finishes throughout, with an open-plan living and dining area at the rear overlooking a swimming pool and a three-car garage at the rear with a studio above it.
The Boguts have not neglected their Melbourne property interests this year. As reported by Nine’s CBD column in March, the couple had lodged plans with Melbourne’s Bayside Council for designer digs in Beaumaris with a pool, gym, sauna, massage room, rooftop terrace and half-size basketball court, home cinema and 16-car stacker, but the plans were knocked back.
