City-style living at an affordable price, that is the vision for Mason Apartments, the initial stage of The Hills Village – the first master-planned community in Seven Hills.

By the time The Hills Village is completed in about 2021, it is expected to house more than 400 apartments. Mason Apartments will have 138 apartments over six levels.

Developments manager at Civic Properties Daniel Ferris expects strong interest from first home buyers.

“We are excited to bring city living to western Sydney so residents can enjoy a low-maintenance lifestyle with easy access to amenities, public transport and employment centres without compromising on quality or living space,” Ferris says.

Among the “city-style” features in the building by GM Architects are an extensive private rooftop courtyard with barbecue areas, outdoor seating, landscaping and decks, plus a private gym and media room.

Inside finishes include Smeg appliances, engineered stone benchtops, LED lighting, linear style airconditioning and NBN capabilities. There is secure basement storage, too.

All apartments offer balconies, some up to 58 square metres. Seven Hills train station is less than 10 minutes’ walk, and there is easy access to the M2, M4 and M7 motorways. Seven Hills is about 35 kilometres west of the city, between Toongabbie and Blacktown.

Civic Properties is offering a $20,000 first home owner’s grant for the first 20 buyers who qualify, in addition to the government’s grant scheme.

The public sales launch is scheduled for September 17; the on-site sales office will be open 10am to 4pm from Tuesday to Sunday or by appointment.

Affinity, Caringbah

As apartments go, Affinity Caringbah is positively bootylicious. All 57 units in the development from John R Keith have extra wide frontages – up to 15 metres in the case of the three-bedroom units – providing vantage points from balconies, living areas and master bedrooms.

Rather than towering skywards, the Baker Kavanagh- designed project spreads out, following the topography of the 4292-square-metre site. The residences occupy two five-storey buildings. Even the outdoor spaces are plus-sized, ranging from 25 square metres to a whopping 79 square metres externally.

Affinity is 750 metres from Caringbah train station and about 26 kilometres south of the CBD. An on-site display suite is open by appointment. The project is due to launch on September 17.

Get your geek on at the sales office of The Heysen. Prospective buyers are invited to use virtual reality technology to walk through their potential new homes. The HTC Vive technology, implemented by Ivolve Studios, even allows users to “touch” appliances in the kitchen and open cupboards using hand controls.

Aqualand’s four-storey development features 44 apartments, all with large outdoor terraces that make the most of the leafy location. The site is 17 kilometres from the CBD and about 600 metres from Turramurra train station and village shops. Downsizers, city workers and families are showing strong interest in the project, which is on sale now.
