Normally, when we’re talking about homes in the suburb of Denman, we focus on the outward-facing views.
While that’s certainly still the case for new development Denman Peninsula, the inward-facing views are the true talking points.
Envisaged by prominent architect firm Turco and Associates and built by award-winning construction firm Milin Builders, the meticulously stylish design and construction of these townhouses represent a sophisticated enclave of dwellings that is intrinsically connected to the distinctive setting of Denman Peninsula.
Perched on the ridge of the Molonglo River, a total of 35 limited collection three and four-bedroom townhouses make up the development by Canberra firm Base Developments.
Every aspect of the interiors has been created to facilitate efficient living, and they are generous in size where required. Ceilings are up to three and a half metres tall, and premium engineered timber flooring comes as standard to enhance the look and feel of each residence while maintaining durability.
When it comes to the intricate details that make a home, residents can mix and match finishes and fittings to create a truly bespoke and personalised interior.
“We want these homes to feel like each owner has made their own indelible mark on the place where they live,” says principal interior designer and director Kier Gregg of Dept. of Design, the firm behind the interiors.
“We’ve curated some distinctive palettes, the composition of which is defined by the owner. This is a highly unique designed-by-you format.”
The kitchen is a showpiece fitted with Italian-made appliances by Smeg. These include combination microwave and wall ovens, an induction cooktop, integrated dishwasher and concealed rangehood.
Distinctive fluted panelling wraps the generous island bench, and a separate butler’s pantry is featured in many of the floor plans.
The modern bathrooms and en suites are luxuriously appointed with under-tile heating, full-height tiling and Villeroy & Boch fittings. All main bathrooms have a full-sized bathtub, and en suites offer wall-mounted double vanities to ensure there’s enough space for everyone to get ready in the morning.
Sustainability is also a key feature at Denman Peninsula, with double glazing on all windows and doors for increased thermal efficiency. A five-kilowatt rooftop solar system is installed to each residence as a concerted effort to reduce emissions footprint.
As these are waterfront properties, the homes boast panoramic views that overlook the peninsula and are situated on the doorstep of some of the territory’s most beautiful natural landscapes.
“The design of these townhouses optimally embraces the site’s natural advantages, fostering a seamless connection with the river and surrounding nature, offering residents a unique living experience deeply rooted in the beauty of the location,” says Keenan Veraar, development manager of LJ Hooker Project Marketing ACT.
For those in search of a lock-up-and-leave lifestyle with the convenience of the location, Denman Peninsula is a home that is close to the city and even closer to nature.
“Ride, walk or run the trails of the Stromlo Forest Park, or work on your fitness at the state-of-the-art Stromlo Leisure Centre. Denman Village is your go-to spot for life’s essentials including healthcare, groceries, or that daily cuppa to start the day with,” Veraar says.
“The exclusivity of the location paired with the team behind the project – there is nothing like it in Canberra.”
Expected completion is early 2026.
