New homes: Brindabella Mountain views from Avani homes in Greenway

Most homes at Avani look out over the Brindabellas, thanks to a unique fan-shaped block design.

“We’ve sort of designed the site so everybody in Avani gets a view of the Brindabellas,” developer Gary Kelly says.

Designed by DNA Architects, the homes come in three, four and five-bedroom layouts. The north-facing living areas enjoyexpansive views towards the mountains.

Bifold sliding doors open up the balconies, giving flexibility in the use of indoor and outdoor space and cross-ventilating homes. High ceilings and house-like proportions make these feel like established homes.

They feature state-of-the-art 3Push home automation systems.

“We’ve come up with a system that we put in our townhouses that allows the owner to control everything basically from the touch of a button,” Kelly says.

Homes also feature a modern eco-friendly approach to design.

“We’ll try and tick the box with high energy ratings environmentally friendly building principles,” Kelly says.

“In the long run, it’s going to save a little bit of money and [owners] are going to reduce their carbon footprint.”

Double glazing, concrete slabs and robust insulation contribute to the excellent star rating of the homes, as well as saving money on heating and cooling.

Homes are walking distance from Greenway’s amenity, which includes shops, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants, as well as Lake Tuggeranong and nearby nature reserves.

Avani has been designed to be a destination in itself, with features such as a solar-heated swimming pool, an outdoor gym, a barbecue area and a children’s playground.

“We’ve created our own little Avani community in a way,” Kelly says.

Ariston appliances, double glazing, stone benchtops and home automation systems are standard throughout. After about two weeks on the market, sales are going strong at Avani, but there are still plenty of homes available.

Construction is expected to begin at Avani in the fourth quarter of this year.
