For first home buyers Timmy Cosgrove and Dana Packham, Belconnen was an easy choice.
They both grew up in the area and work in the town centre, and when they had a look at what was on offer at Wayfarer, they decided to buy a two-bedroom apartment on the spot.
“We chose Wayfarer because we fell in love with the floor plan, the enormous balcony and the gorgeous views,” Dana says.
Dana and Timmy have bought an apartment on the 10th floor with views across Lake Ginninderra.
The large balcony was a big selling point for the couple as they love entertaining. Dana, a keen cook, says she can’t wait to use the designer kitchen.
The couple live in a share house in Evatt and they’re looking forward to being in the centre of town with everything they need at their doorstep.
“We’re really excited to see what businesses end up taking over the commercial lots on the site,” Timmy says. “It’ll be amazing to be able to head down the lift to a cafe or restaurant.”
They have seen Belconnen change dramatically and they’re looking forward to where it’s heading.
“When I was in high school, there wasn’t much to it,” Timmy says. “We’ve already seen a surge in restaurants and nightlife; hopefully that will continue.
“We are really excited by the announcement of the new GEOCON development across the road and the prospect of having a precinct with a NewActon vibe at our doorstep.”
