With just six townhouses, each with four bedrooms, Aquila’s focus is on excellence in design and construction.

Set back from the street by spacious courtyards, the townhouses have plenty of open space inside, contributing to the established feeling of the development.

They have been carefully designed by architects Turco and Associates to feel immediately like a home.

“The brief we gave them was to make these terrace homes … as open as possible,” Living Design Projects development manager Paul Dermatis says.

The high quality of materials that will be used in the build strengthens this solid, permanent feeling, and allows the architecture to shine.

“We’ve built these a lot more solidly than we typically have in the past and also than is typical in the area,” Dermatis says

“It makes the architecture a lot more striking.”

Inside, the townhouses have house-like proportions with good-sized living spaces.

Dermatis is also expecting the high-quality materials to pay off in the long-term value of the property. “Down the track, in terms of the value of the house, it should contribute positively,” he says.

The interiors have been styled by Department of Design and purchasers have a choice of three colour schemes for their home.

The design gives buyers plenty of choice, such as the option to double the size of the master suite. Kitchens feature Ariston appliances. Construction at Aquila is expected to begin in August, with completion expected for July 2018.

The townhouses at Aquila are perched on a rise, which gives it views in all directions.

The prime locations should allow residents to enjoy one of the key attractions of Moncrieff, its expansive green space.

“The main drawcard for me in Moncrieff is just the extension of all the parkland area,” Dermatis says.

“Being directly adjacent to two parks, you’ve only sort of got residential on one boundary.”

Just six minutes’ drive from Gungahlin and 20 from the city centre, Moncrieff is well connected.
