In the heart of Canberra city, a new standard of urban living is set to emerge with the announcement of The Grande on London.
This sophisticated mixed-use development by Geocon is not just a residential complex, it’s a meticulously crafted lifestyle experience that combines opulent living spaces with cutting-edge amenities and a prime location in the heart of the capital.
The Grande is set to redefine the city’s skyline with three impressive buildings comprising 332 luxurious apartments.
Beyond the one, two and three-bedroom residences, the development will include three commercial office spaces and a central courtyard to elegantly link the trio of buildings, providing a communal oasis.
The finished product is set to be a blend of comfort, style and convenience.
The apartments feature spacious balconies, premium, energy-efficient appliances, LED lighting, floor-to-ceiling double-glazed windows, reverse-cycle air-conditioning and two luxurious colour schemes to choose from.
Residents of The Grande are in for a treat with a range of high-quality amenities designed to enhance apartment living. The crown jewel of these is a rooftop pool and pavilion with breathtaking views of the cityscape.
Fitness enthusiasts can indulge in state-of-the-art facilities, including a gym and yoga studio.
For those seeking tranquillity, a curated library beckons, alongside co-working spaces and other private spaces.
“The Grande is a thoughtfully designed residential development where high-quality finishes and exceptional amenities combine to elevate the living experience in the heart of Canberra City,” says Geocon director of development Andrew Clark.
“We’ve collaborated with the National Capital Authority over the past year to fine-tune the design in line with the NCA’s vision for Canberra.”
The project’s architectural prowess is thanks to Geocon’s partnership with the award-winning practice Fender Katsalidis. The landscaping and urban design have been handled by Oculus.
This collaborative effort ensures The Grande on London has the highest urban aesthetics and functionality standards.
Geocon managing director Nick Georgalis says the project is an increasingly rare opportunity to buy a new apartment in Canberra’s city centre.
“The site is in a blue-chip position within the city precinct, located close to the lake, the theatre precinct, shops, restaurants and light rail,” he says.
“The project will appeal to both live-in owner-occupiers and investors.”
Sitting proudly on the cloverleaf of Allara Street and London Circuit, the project allows residents to enjoy life with front-row access to the best of the city centre.
On one side sits Lake Burley Griffin and all that it has to offer. On the other is the energy and vibrancy of the city, including hospitality hotspots and the Canberra Centre shopping mall.
Construction of the $300 million development has begun, and the three buildings are expected to be completed at the end of 2025.
