Hollywood icon and 90s poster boy Christian Slater is bumping out of the breezy Florida home he has candidly shared over the years with fans.
The actor, 52, the star of Heathers, True Romance and Interview with the Vampire (alongside Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise), is hoping for US$3.95 million ($5.78 million) for the Mediterranean-style villa in Miami.
Slater has offered glimpses inside the house with his fans on his Instagram account, posting shots of himself voting at the circular Eero Saarinen Tulip table, feeding the dogs in the kitchen and relaxing on the terrace.
Slater has owned the Coconut Grove waterfront house since 2013, according to the New York Post.
The interior is in keeping with the Italian façade, with verdant greenery draped through almost every room the house and a penchant for classically-neutral decor including rattan and crisp white fabrics.
The Tulip table, which Slater is pictured at on his Instagram, is a famous piece of furniture adored by architecture aficionados.
The Compass listing for 3618 St Gaudens Road explains the property has been renovated and is protected for flooding with a new retaining wall.
Special touches include handmade mahogany doors that connect the dining room to the al fresco zones, where buyers will find a pool, and a guest house is included in the estate.
This separate property is self-contained and has a living zone, bedroom and luxury bathroom with steam shower.
The main house has an entertainment room – often called a den in American listings – and the updated kitchen has high-end appliances by SubZero, Viking, and Miele.
The biggest of the bedrooms is flourished with a Juliet balcony and has a huge walk-in robe, plus a marble en suite with a deep bath.
Agent Liz Hogan of agency Compass is handling the listing.
