For many Australians, Noosa Heads is the ultimate dream — an idyllic place in which to raise a family, enjoy a refined retirement, or embrace the daily delights of a perpetual holiday.

Located on Queensland’s celebrated Sunshine Coast, this beachside gem’s strategic urban planning and strict building codes safeguard its natural beauty amid growth.

Such preservation, which keeps its buildings low and tree canopies tall, sets the town apart from the more urbanised pockets of its rival, the Gold Coast.

Rising tides in real estate

Flowing gracefully into the heart of town, the Noosa River provides  haven for the enjoyment of residents.

Among them is Tom Offermann of Tom Offermann Real Estate, often seen kayaking as the sun rises, invigorated by the prospect of another day spent in the town he passionately promotes.

“Quick access to water – be it the beach or river – is essential for our affluent buyers, and these same attributes are equally integral to our market’s growing property values,” Offermann says.

“Our clients cherish being able to stroll to waterways, top-notch restaurants, boutiques, and the luxury of embarking on a boat ride right from their backyards.”

According to the latest Domain House Price Report, the median house price in Noosa Heads is now $2 million, a 68.1 per cent increase over the past five years.

Offermann attributes this growth to the town’s finite land availability, which causes tranquillity and property values to soar in unison.

“Noosa Heads mirrors the affluent northern suburbs of Sydney, where so many of its residents and investors hail from,” he says. “Yet, they settle here for the weather and the less hectic lifestyle.”

Where it’s always sunny

In the heart of town lies CLO Studios, a high-end boutique and interior design studio that captures the essence of Noosa’s coastal sophistication.

Chloe Tozer, the owner and creative director, feels fortunate to have been raised on the Sunshine Coast.

“Noosa is a beautiful place to live and work, offering a slower pace of life surrounded by stunning scenery, and where the sun is literally always shining,” Tozer says.

“It’s a source of constant inspiration, perfectly blending international influences with its own unique coastal culture.”

Tozer says VanillaFood in Noosa Junction is her favourite for breakfast and matcha to start the day and “weekends are for enjoying walks in Noosa National Park, followed by a swim at Tea Tree Bay Beach.

“It’s not just a place to live, but a place to live well.”
