Oprah Winfrey has discreetly off-loaded her sprawling waterfront estate Orcas Island in America for $USD 14 million ($AUD19 million).
The talk show queen sold the 18-hectare property in an off-market deal, the highest sale on the island, according to the New York Post.
It is located on the largest island of the San Juan archipelago off the north-west coast of Seattle, Washington.
It is globally renowned for its whale watching opportunities, particularly orca whales, hence its namesake.
The 47-year-old, who has turned into a media and business mogul since her long-running highest-rating talk show finished in 2011, originally bought the home for $US8.3 million ($AUD11.3 million) in 2017, records show.
It is said that Oprah decided to sell the property because she was not there often due to her busy schedule as the chief executive of her production company and a long list of other responsibilities.
She still conduct interviews, including her high-profile sit down with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, which attracted international media attention.
The property, which is marketed as a “gated island sanctuary”, consists of several homes, other buildings and an 800-metre waterfront with beach views.
The main home, which has four bedrooms and three bathrooms, covers 948-square-metres.
There are several other houses, including a “mother-in-law apartment” as well as a greenhouse and an expansive shop.
She gutted the home to renovate it, introducing a suite of amenities, including an entertainment room, wine cellar, library, a large office, sauna and an Asian garden.
There is heated flooring through, a wood-fired pizza oven and reclaimed woodwork.
