'I'm screaming': Parent's terrifying attic discovery

A mother has gone viral with her chilling story of what her child suspected was happening in their home.

The woman from Tennessee in the US has revealed a terrifying attic discovery, instigated by her young son, which she says left her “screaming”.

Alongside a photo of an open attic hatch in the garage, X social media user Loppy Rae shared how her five-year-old son believed “a man lives there”, in their roof, and pointed it out to her.

In an unnerving series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), she explained that she doesn’t use the attic hatch because it has a “heavy panel” but was surprised to see it was “wide open”.

What was more shocking was a “black handprint” visible on the ceiling.

“I’m screaming,” she posted in capital letters alongside a picture of the “attic in question”.

She has continued to share updates online for her followers, revealing she had sent her husband up there to assess the situation but he found only “scattered insulation”.

Cameras were installed and “claw marks” were found on a panel, leading her to joke that maybe there was a “buff raccoon” hiding in the space.

With her initial post attracting more than 13 million views, she was forced to insist she was “not in danger” and asked followers to not do anything drastic on her behalf.

The mum urged the millions of people who viewed the posts to “not call the police”.
