Grammy award-winning musician and producer, Pharrell Williams, is likely very ‘happy’ with the recent sale of his LA home.
Williams snagged $12.8 million for the deal, which has yet to hit public records, Mansion Global reports.
The gated property has tested the market since May 2020, where it first listed for $16.5 million. Eventually, the asking price lowered to $13.9 million .
Williams originally bought the home in 2015 for $9.9 million, so he’s still a few of million ahead.
The entrepreneur’s architecturally-designed digs are located above the Laurel Canyon in the coveted Hollywood Hills, with views of LA’s twinkling city lights.
Complete with its own outdoor skate park and theatre, the low-slung, glass-and-wood-encased masterpiece was designed by architect Hagy Belzberg in 2007.
The contemporary smart home compound offers eco-conscious living and has since won multiple awards from the likes of Interior Design Magazine and the American Institute of Architects, California Council.
Running long and narrow, the striking pad with clean lines and floor-to-ceiling windows spans 6,000 feet. Inside, you’ll find five bedrooms, including a primary suite with a video wall, a chef’s kitchen and a formal living room kitted out with statement fireplace.
Outside, the home not only boasts an outdoor movie theatre and skate park, but also a 70-foot infinity pool, spa and multiple outdoor entertaining decks.
There’s also a detached loft two-storey guest house with distinctive single-folded plate roof, offering another bedroom, bathroom, ktichen and its own screening area.
Williams, known for being a RnB/Pop musician and producer and for his worldwide smash ‘Happy’, has won 13 Grammy Awards and has been nominated twice for an Academy Award.
He’s also launched ‘Black Ambition’, an accelerator program for black and Latinx entrepreneurs.
