Curtin has been enjoying an uptick in popularity through relatively recent entrants such as the popular gastro pub Two Blind Mice.

This joint certainly knows how to draw in an enthusiastic crowd – and keep them coming back.

And what’s not to like? It’s got it all – a great name, a cool interior, all the pub meal and drink favourites, live music, friendly staff and a very central, accessible location.

All things must pass, however, and the owners have decided to call time to pursue other interests and are looking for another mouse with a big vision to take Two Blind Mice to the next level.

That new owner will step into a well-run operation with a million-dollar fitout, including booth seating and tables inside and courtyard seating space out the front.

Frank Walmsley of Canberra Commercial Business Sales says this is a ready-to-roll opportunity.

“Two Blind Mice is a proven performer and in a sense it has been de-risked as far as business performance is concerned. That should give great confidence to a potential new owner,” he says.

“That buyer could be an individual or group with hospitality experience, but the main criterion is a leader with the vision, passion and energy to take it to the next level.”

Walmsley says the opportunity may equally appeal to an investor.
