According to the latest ABS figures, Kingston is one of Canberra’s fastest growing suburbs, unsurprising considering the rapid growth of the foreshore over the past five years.

The inner-south suburb has two faces, with “old” Kingston home to 1920s heritage homes and cosy shopfronts, while the flashy foreshore is full of nightlife, modern developments, and within them some of the most exclusive penthouses in the nation’s capital.

But given both places are lively with lots of food options, you can be guaranteed if you lived in Kingston your appetite would always be satisfied.

Kingston stats:

Population growth: 7.4 per cent

For lunch on a cheat day (that’s most days for us), indulge in pasta served at the table straight from the melting pot of a cheese wheel at Molto Italian.

Otis Dining Hall is a romantic spot for fine dining and then finish the night off with a quirky dessert at Morks Restaurant followed by a nightcap at Salotto or Walt & Burley.
