Fans mourning the death of iconic musician Prince have the chance to snap up a unique, but very expensive, piece of memorabilia.
A Canadian mansion the pop star called home for five years is up for sale.
The listing boasts of the “rare opportunity to reside in this estate formerly owned by acclaimed international music celebrity” – that “celebrity” has been named as Prince by the Toronto Star.
The Purple Rain singer reportedly owned the house from 2001 to 2006, while married to Canadian businesswoman Manuela Testolini.
The six-bedroom, 10-bathroom mansion is located in one of the richest neighbourhoods in Canada, Bridle Path.
Situated in an exclusive gated community, the sprawling abode has more than 1300 square metres of living space, which includes a gym, sauna, theatre room and multiple living rooms and entertaining areas.
Outside on the expansive grounds is a swimming pool, tennis court and a heated cabana.
The singer reportedly paid $5.5 million for the property in 2001, but those hoping to buy the home will need much deeper pockets, with agents guiding a price of $CAD12,788,000 ($13.1 million).
If that price is a bit of a stretch, don’t worry because a second, more humble home with links to the singer is also for sale – and it comes with a considerably smaller asking price.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the ranch-style property in Prince’s home state of Minnesota was listed in January and has been registered in his name for “more than a decade”.
The fully renovated three-bedroom, two bathroom property’s living room is fittingly painted a shade of purple.
It carries a price tag of just $US335,000 ($434,444).
