A string of property awards have shone a light on some of the people shaping Canberra’s landscape.
Five Canberra teams and individuals have been recognised at this year’s Property Council ACT Awards Night and Gala Ball.
Almost 500 industry stakeholders attended the Friday night celebration at the National Convention Centre Canberra’s Royal Theatre.
Independent Property Group’s director of project planning, David Shearer won the Executive Director Award for Most Outstanding Contribution to the Sector.
Mr Shearer has 35 years of experience in the property industry and was recognised for his knowledge and insight, engagement across numerous projects, and his influence on planning policy.
The Hays 2017 Allan Wylucki ACT Property Professional of the Year Award went to Rider Levett Bucknall director Fiona Doherty.
Riverview Group was named the GHD 2017 ACT Property Business of the Year.
The organisation is working with the ACT government on the development of Ginninderry in west Belconnen.
Riverview Group sustainability manager Jessica Stewart was named 2017 ACT Future Leader of the Year.
New Canberra commercial agency Burgess Rawson won the 2017 award for Most Outstanding Property Marketing of the Year.
ACT Property Council executive director Adina Cirson said the awards recognised the property industry’s influencers and celebrated their contributions to the ever-changing nation’s capital.
In May two Canberra projects snagged national Property Council of Australia awards: Doma Group for the Little National Hotel and the Canberra Airport Group for the Vibe Hotel.
