The time taken for first-home buyers to save a deposit has continued to rise across most Australian capital cities.

It now takes the average first-home buyer couple in Sydney six and a half years to save a 20 per cent deposit for an entry-level house, with the time taken to save also rising in Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, and Hobart according to the latest Domain First Home Buyers Report.
