The market’s hot, we know this. But, can you find a bargain when prices have been rising so rapidly and demand is so high?

In this episode, Julie DeBondt-Barker, the founding director of Property Home Base, tells us how we can differentiate between a property bargain and a property lemon.

Defining a bargain is “very simple at the moment”, she says. “Any property purchase that you are able to buy, in or around the advertised selling range, is a bargain.

“Unfortunately a lot of the buyers right now are really desperate, and desperate people do desperate things.”

Then, to unpack the rising trend of Australians moving from bigger cities to smaller cities, the co-founder & director of research at The Demographics Group, Simon Kuestenmacher, joins us with some interesting insights on why people are making these life-changing moves.
