The Dural home of radio broadcaster Ray Hadley was on offer for $7.7 million to $8 million before it sold.

Veteran radio broadcaster Ray Hadley sold his Dural estate on Wednesday after more than a  quarter of a century as the suburb’s highest-profile resident.

The 2.19-hectare property was listed in March with a $7.7 million to $8 million guide by LJ Hooker Dural’s Peter Colusso amid Hadley’s downsizing plans with his new wife, Sophie Baird.

The couple married in March and have stated publicly they plan to divide their time between Sydney and the Gold Coast.

The Dural home of Ray Hadley was built in 2006 as a five-bedroom home with a swimming pool and tennis court.

Mr Colusso declined to reveal the sale figure.

The 2GB morning presenter commissioned the main five-bedroom residence in 2006, complete with open-plan living areas at the rear overlooking one of two swimming pools and a separate study, home cinema and adjoining four-car garage.

A second residence on the property dates back to 1919 when owned by the Sagars family. It was renovated and extended by Hadley in the mid-1990s before he lived in it.

Radio 2GB announcer Ray Hadley is set to divide his time between Sydney and the Gold Coast.

The property is set behind a gated entry and comes with a flood-lit tennis court, a teenager’s retreat and an American-style barn with parking for five cars.

The property was briefly listed in 2015 by an agent asking $7.5 million but withdrawn soon after.

Dural’s record high house price is $10.85 million, set in 2018 when the Moncur Estate was bought by Junlong Zheng, the husband of Chinese billionaire Zhou Qunfei, the founder of touchscreen glass supplier Lens Technology.
